PRODUCT CARE
How do I take care of my Fau jewellery?

Our earrings are made of acrylic and sterling silver 925 with a coating of 18K gold. To preserve the golden layer there are severals things you can do:
• Store your earrings in the provided Fau Atelier box, to minimise oxygenisation
• Avoid contact with water, perfume, oils, creams and sweat
• Polish your earrings with a jewellery cloth
To sum up: treat them with love and attention and they will last for years to come.

The gold plating has discoloured, how is this possible?

We are sorry to hear this. If you’ve taken all the precautions mentioned above, it is quite likely that the discolouration is due to the PH value of your skin. Everyone has a different PH value, which means that every skin reacts differently to different materials. Unfortunately, there is nothing to do about this natural process.

Can I mix&match all your earrings?

No this is not possible as there are two types of earrings designed for this. The first type is specifically for rings and the second type is for our studs. This has to do with the drill hole but also the shape and size of the artworks. So to sum this up: for the studs you can switch up all stud-based artworks and then for the rings you can switch it up with all ring-based artworks. We hope that’s clear for you, please let us know if you have any questions.

What is your classic collection?

These pieces are for your special occasions, to fall in love with forever. They aren’t suited for the mix&match method, unique in their own way and lasting for years to come.
